Liquorice root is a sweet gift from mother nature. Its compound glycyrrhizin is forty times sweeter than sugar without elevating blood sugar. In fact, in animal studies, licorice seems to have an anti-diabetic effect.

Its properties are as amazing as its sweetness. It is a primary adaptogen, very nourishing for the adrenal glands. As an added bonus, it helps with digestion, especially for people with acid reflux and stomach ulcers. We love liquorice root to balance out multi herbal formulas.
